Today I saw Christmas…

 

Everywhere I looked I saw the signs…

But they were not Christmas.

 

Today I saw the trappings, the trimmings of Christmas.

 

It wasn’t there.

It wasn’t in the lights.

It wasn’t in the stores.

It wasn’t in the signs.

 

But today I did see Christmas.

 

Today I was fortunate enough to see Christmas 

where it can always be found.

I saw it in the twinkling eyes.

                                                                             

Today I saw Christmas in the eyes of the children.
